When considering your options for a Lifestyle shoot with Sarah Ann Photography a good place to start is with a list on your countertop.
Start listing the everyday rituals or experiences that are your real life family moments. Storytime with dad, playing kitchen with daughter, swinging in the backyard, walking your child to school, puzzles before nap, homework time, after school snack chats, walking the dog, and bath time are all ideas. That list is where you and I can begin to build your shoot so that you get a plethora of pictures capturing your "Now." Because the family portrait hanging above your fire place is important...but, having some of the ordinary moments captured to look back on in 20 years is also a gift.

The other day we changed up things and did bath time in the middle of the day because, we needed to change things up to survive the day. And I grabbed my camera so I could give you an idea of how real bath time moments captured in our house might look.
Bath time, is typically a ritual that repeats and occurs often during these early years of parenting. It often builds quirky little moments that your child depends on to bring culmination to their day. Maybe it always ends with their favorite towel or story time with daddy. Maybe you practice the alphabet with the foam letters. Maybe they use bath paint to decorate the walls or make bubble wigs and beards. Maybe they are chefs and cook you "cream of bubble soup" or bowls of "bubble ice cream". Maybe dinosaurs or little guys become swimming companions and line the tub after the water is drained.

Bath time can be an ordinary time but, also such a special time and whether you think of this as something you ask me to help you capture or you grab your camera and snap a few on your own..... It is part of this early parenting stage that is worthy of capturing. For sure! Because before you know it bath time rituals are no longer something you, the parents, take part in...well, besides maybe reminding them that bathing is vital to their health and friendships :)

Lifestyle shoots offer up the chance to capture your "now." Consider it! Contact me and let's make it happen.
