My love of photography is not so much with the posed perfect shots, although that is fun too. My love is of capturing moments....feelings...the real deal in life. I love to prove the extraordinary is right there, happening all the time. My dream is to be a butterfly, with a camera of course, flittering along on a family's adventure or just chilling out, like I am not even there, capturing their everyday...in the comfort of their own home. This wasn't an actual lifestyle photography shoot...since we were invited and I was there enjoying the adventure right along with my family and everyone else. But afterwards as I was peeking at the moments captured, I was once again reminded...this is my love of photography.
The moments that aren't perfectly posed - but rather real and sometimes happening and you aren't even aware they are. Like little boys listening to their favorite music and sipping sparkling apple juice on a magical limo bus light tour.

Or little girls snuggled in close to their daddy, taking in all the fun.

And while the music was hopping and snacks were being nibbled...getting mama in the picture, natural and beautiful is my favorite.

When I am there on an adventure the kiddos don't realize I am snapping pictures. They smile naturally and without hesitation. Their real self comes peeking through.

And the joy and happiness that a group of people share can be remembered forever!

And moments captured with grandma and grandpa are priceless.

This is my dream with my photography journey. And if I had been along on this ride without my littles, my wine, and my hope to both enjoy it all and snap a few pictures - I think more moments would have been captured. But, boy am I so glad that our neighbors invited us along on such a fun holiday evening. So blessed to have them in our lives!
Starting in January, Sarah Ann Photography will be looking for more opportunities to build my portfolio of lifestyle photography. Birthday parties, family gathers, trips to the park or your family's favorite hang out, baking cookies with grandma, a walk in the woods with mom, pancakes in your jammies on a Saturday morning....sledding in your backyard and hot cocoa afterwards. The possibilities are endless. There will be a limited number of portfolio building priced sessions. So contact me if you have an idea or opportunity you would like captured.
