There is such beauty in the little things that build our days and we often overlook. The ordinary little moments that someday we will wish we remembered better or could even relive. I am constantly wanting to turn back time to when they were all so much more little. Recently, a family inquired about a family session to be done at their home. I ALWAYS get so excited when I find a family that is in sync with my very favorite types of session.
This type of shoot is where I get the magical power of freezing their now and showing them how extraordinary it all is. This family didn't actually tell me too much about what they wanted. They trusted my eye, which is a huge compliment. So at first, like usual, this duo of small tribe members were pretty unsure of me. But watch as the whole family relaxes, even forgets I am there at times. And as I captured them I easily saw that little sis sucked her thumb and little brother used a nuk and held his little ear when he was tired or needed a cuddle. And dad brought out the biggest smiles and with mom there were loving and tender little moments. When they all were in the frame they all looked the happiest.
Follow along to see why it was so important to capture their home.
Here is an overshare of an incredible family!
Unsure littles relax immediately in mom's lap.
And immediately realize I am not so bad!
We scooted over the the park to get a few little moments during the golden hour.
They started in this home just the two of them and brought home these two little miracles along the way. They had sleepless nights, holidays, and all the little everyday moments like learning to walk, spilled milk, and first birthday parties. This was their home for a very precious time in their life. I know they will soon realize that a house is not a home. Their new house will feel like home very quickly with two busy littles pitter pattering through the hallways. Good luck, L family! Until we meet again!
You don't have to wait to move to capture your everyday real. It is your ordinary that will be extraordinary someday. Let me help you capture it for your forever.
