It is so easy to put off family pictures.  Sitting down and finding the right photographer - usually a bit ahead of time.  Many book up early.  It requires the daunting task of figuring out what everyone is going to wear and then the scary day when you wonder if your kiddos will pull through and the pictures will turn out.  Plus throw in busy schedules, sick kids, bumps and bruises, and mother nature...well, the whole thing can seem overwhelming.  But, I don't think anyone regrets it after they have done it.    I like to think that sessions with me are full of laughs and focusing on your family.  It would be nice to get it done in 15 minutes but, if you want real moments to happen, natural smiles to show up, and options...well, it takes a little time.  And when you get your gallery video from me...I like to think that just like child birth...the work it took to get those pictures in your hands will be a past memory and you will be hooked and excited to find another time in the future to capture more moments.  This is important.  This is your life.  Investing in family pictures every once in a while is one way to freeze time and make some memories last.  Missing teeth, braces, hair cuts, clothing style, dispositions and moods, and the every growing personality  of your little people...well, it is all real and it is all beautiful.  

I am so glad that this family finally made it in front of my camera.  Their mama and I have chatted about doing pictures for a while and we got it done and I think they will be happy with what we captured.  Here are a whole bunch of my favorites.  

My fall calendar is pretty full.  But, the amazing Minnesota winter can be a cozy time to capture outdoor moments in the snow.  Keep it in mind and inquire to see some of the late fall and winter possibilities.
