On Monday evening, this swing set was theirs.  It is where all three have learned to slide and swing.  And very soon, they will be moving and making new memories in a new home.  When mom asked for a photo session we were going to do it at the park.  But I am so glad that it rained that night and we rescheduled.  Their plan to move came into the picture and capturing them at home before they moved sounded so perfect.  I love capturing people, in moments, surrounded by what is important to them.   Pictures at your home will trigger so many memories in years to come.  The swing set, landscaping, toys, fence, houses in the distance....all of it will bring back memories.  I hope that the pictures I captured make mom and dad see that though this was their home for so many years....their home will be wherever they tuck these three in at night.

My favorite thing to capture are natural moments that tell the story of a family's now.  And we had to go natural with this crew because the new to 2 little guy did not really want to do anything that his mom and I had in mind.  If we wanted him to sit at the top of the slide he slid down.  If we wanted him to sit on the blanket he ran to the deck.  And his big brother and sister were great helps and so patient when we kept telling them how to move so we could get them all in the shot.  When I left I am sure mom got them tucked into bed, put her feet up, and wondered what would come of what seemed like such chaos.  And THIS is one of my favorite parts about this experience.  Leaving their house, coming home, and then being so excited to share what I captured with mom and dad.

Moments like these, that we didn't even realize happened because they lasted only seconds before someone was climbing up or down.

While big sis waited for mom to grab things for the little guy, I called her name and said "give me a smile" and YAY!  We capture this gorgeous gal!

And hello handsome!  Bet mom didn't know I got this one!

Because this guy made us crazy!  He is so lucky that he is so cute!

He is two.  A big boy now, but still so small.

It was time to take a walk to their favorite little creek to toss rocks,  one of the littlest guy's favorite thing to do these days, and so I was trying to get this young man to join us.  But his sister explained that once he is reading a book there is no stopping him.

And then this grasshopper landed on her leg and her brother explained that she normally doesn't let bugs sit on her!  I love hearing siblings describe each other.  They really do know each other so well.

And here are a few more of my favorites.

Thanks Erin and Dan for letting me capture your trio!  What a wonderful family you have!
